Photo shoot at home

Maddie had her first photo shooting at home done by a photographer daddy with help of her mommy and mimi. She got milk drunk and had a great 2 hours. She is an angel and I could not resist taking pictures on my phone and other small camera.

Still looks like a new born baby :)

Going home on July 21st!

Welcome home, Madison!

Maddie and I came home 5 nights after Maddie was born. Her first car ride was not successful as she hated being in a car seat!
Wow she screamed so loud that I could not hear Andrew's voice.

A lot of babies fall asleep while sitting in a car seat, but not Maddie...She needs to get used to it to travel to Yamaguchi :)

Anyway, we are all very happy to have you at home with us.
Love you Maddie xxx

sleeping beauty

I stayed at the hospital for 5 nights from the 16th. In Japan, you usually stay at the hospital from 5 to 6 nights after delivering a baby. When you have second one, you stay there from 4 to 5 nights. I enjoyed every meal and learned how to breastfeed a baby and give a baby a bath and so on.

Maddie's face looks just like me when I was born. My mother looked so happy to meet Maddie and Andrew and my mom are in love with her :)

Madison Rei has arrived!

Our baby girl was born at 14:29 on July 16th!!

On the 15th, we went to a mall because it was way too hot to walk outside as exercise. We had lunch and sweets there and walked for a couple of hours and went home.

It was full moon on the 15th and I prayed and told the God that Andrew and I were so ready to welcome Madison. I got loads of energy from the moon.

I had small contractions on and off since a few days before and also had upset stomach before going to bed. At 4:20AM, I suddenly woke up and felt pain in my back and stomach. I went to the bathroom and there was sign of labor! I woke up Andrew and text my mother and told that I was having the contractions :) Pain came back every 10 minutes, but Andrew told me to wait because he wanted to take a shower and asked me if I could get breakfast ready, so I said "Nooooo!" I called the clinic and they told me to come right away. We got to the clinic at 5AM or so, and pain gets worse and worse. My due date was July 8th and it was already 9 days late, so Andrew and I were so excited and I was even enjoying this pain UNTIL 11AM. My mother came at 9AM and sat there beside me and my husband Andrew pushed my lower back and supported me for a whole time. I could not do it without his help and love. He walked in the hall with me and we cried together because I was in bad pain and getting close to deliver Maddie.

There were 3 pregnant women on that morning and nurses thought I would be the last one because I only dilated 3cm when I got to the clinic, but I ended up having a baby first!

It was an amazing experience and I could do this because I was with Andrew. I did not scream or shout at him and he constantly helped me and even took pictures and short videos during labor while supporting me. What a wonderful and thoughtful husband I have!

There are a lot more to tell about my labor, but I will stop for now!

We are just so happy to have Madison Rei in our family. Thank you God for giving us such a beautiful girl.

I will never forget about this special day :)

Before we meet our baby daughter

Yesterday we went to a beautiful park to shoot some pictures!
Andy was so tired from working and sweating all day at work, but he was willing to go to the park with me and take some pictures :-)

We did not find our favourite photographers here in Fukuoka( I am sure that there are many talented photographers but just have not found the one we like) , so we decided to do it on our own. Why not? We have a great camera and a tripod!

We ended up being outside for 2 and a half hours and took over 100 pictures!

Clothes for our bebe

Our bebe seems to like being in my tummy and she is not ready to come out yet......
We are anxious to meet her!!!

Nonna sent us something special for her. Clothes and a bib that Andrew used when he was a bebe. They are adorable and we are so sure that they will look really cute on her. Nonna changed ribbon from blue to pink for her. Just cannot wait to put them on her :)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Nonna! Love you very much.
